Happy New Year!
We’re proud to announce that we’ve officially launched Version 1 of SmartReality. Users will no longer see “Beta” under the logo, but we hope users continue to send us feedback and comments – as we plan to continue monthly updates to the application.
Version 1 includes a redesigned Projects menu and a settings page for users to customize their experience with the app. Read more below and be sure to send us feedback on features you’d still like to see at smartreality.co/contact.
When adding projects in our web portal at secure.smartreality.co, users can now specify the devices the project will be displayed on. We are experimenting with support for Epson Moverio and Oculus Rift through this feature. Additional fees may apply.
We’ve updated the project menu by replacing words like “Download” with intuitive icons that take up less room. In addition, projects are now displayed in two tabs, one for On Device projects and one for projects In the Cloud. When a project gets updated, it will automatically be moved to In the Cloud while downloading then move back to On Device when download is complete so users can follow its progress.
We have added a settings view, where users can customize the following options on their app:
- Viewer Settings – Users can turn on recent app update tutorials to walk them through what’s new again.
- Show Floor Grid – Users can add the floor grid to AR Mode Off viewing.
- Show Compass – Select to Show or Not Show a compass while viewing projects.
- Turn off Camera When in AR Mode Off – When activated, app will automatically turn off camera when in AR Mode Off, and if selected, users can define whether they’d like a color or image background to show when in AR Mode Off.
Thank you to our users for your continued feedback and assistance in developing Version 1 of SmartReality. We look forward to working with you more.
